Critical Thinking: Is The Feminine Seen As Being Inferior To The Masculine In Today’s World?24/1/2022
In most, if not all societies around the world there is typically a focus on the doing, so taking action and getting things done. As a result of this, the other side of this, the being, is rarely given much consideration.
It is often as though the only thing that matters is achieving things and becoming more successful, at least in the material sense. If then, someone spends a lot of time doing things and they are becoming more ‘successful’ in the process, they can be seen as living in the right way by a lot of people. A Different Experience On the other hand, if someone’s life doesn’t revolve around the need to achieve and be more successful, they can be seen as living in the wrong way by a lot of people. They could end up being seen as lazy or lacking drive. It then won’t be that they are more in balance and that someone who doesn’t live in this way is out of balance; no, it will be that someone like this essentially has something wrong with them. Therefore, they are unlikely to receive a lot of positive feedback from their fellow citizens. A Closer Look When it comes to someone who spends a lot of time doing things, they could be a manager of a company. Or, they could simply be an employee of a company and work a lot of hours, along with filling the rest of their time with other activities. Yet, when it comes to someone who doesn’t practically spend their whole life doing things, they could be a stay at home parent. Then again, they could have a job or be self-employed but when they are not working; their attention is unlikely to always be on achievement, with them also focusing on having fun. A Natural Assumption At this point, it could seem as if a man is likely to be the manager and a woman is likely to be a stay at home parent. The man would then naturally be more focused on the doing and the women would naturally be more focused on the being. However, as both a man and a woman are made up of both the masculine and the feminine aspects, this is not the case. The fact that there are women who are managers and men who are stay at home parents shines the light on this. The Outcome So, in a society that values the doing and other masculine traits, not the being and other feminine traits, if a woman was to be a stay at home parent as opposed to sending her child/children to someone else to look after and going to work, she can be looked down upon. Once again, she can be seen as lacking drive and even as being “oppressed.” And, if a man was to be a stay at home parent and his partner was to go to work, he could also be looked down upon by others; especially other men. He can be seen as being emasculated and lacking testosterone. Something Else This typical view that the masculine is better than the feminine doesn’t stop here, though, as another part of this is that the intellect is seen as being superior to the emotional self. Therefore, logic and reason (the mind) will be revered, while the ability to feel and sense things (the body) will rarely be acknowledged, let alone dismissed. Women are often seen as being emotional and men as logical, which has played a part in why women have often been seen as being inferior throughout history. A man can believe that, unlike a woman, he is more rational and this allows him to make better decisions. One Factor But as men and woman have both a neocortex and a limbic system, its shows that they are no different in this regard. With this in mind, it could be said that as a lot of men have, throughout history, seen their emotional aspect as being inferior to their intellect, this has played a part in why they have had the need to control women as they have reminded them of the part of themselves that they have alienated. Another thing that plays a part in women being more emotional is that, for so long, there has been less pressure on them to suppress their feelings. Also, due to the number of wars that there have been throughout history, there has been a lot of moments when a man has had to suppress how he feels. How It Starts Off Now, if someone spends a lot of time doing, there would have been time when they were very much in their feminine. At the beginning of their life, they had to rely on others to give them what they needed; they were unable to do anything for themselves. As time passed and they continued to grow, they would have gradually got in touch with their masculine aspect. If this stage of their life was ‘good enough’, they may now have the ability to be and to do. Deprived If this was a stage of their life when they rarely if ever had their developmental needs met, they would have missed out on a lot of the nutrients that they needed to be able to grow and develop in the right way. They may then have emotionally shut down and lost touch with their feelings. The stage of their life when they were in their feminine would have been a very painful time, causing them to form an unhealthy relationship with this part of their nature. This would have given them the need to be in control and prevented them from developing a felt sense of worth, love and trust. The Fall Out By being on the go, then, they won’t need to experience the vulnerability that they experienced all those years ago, and achieving things and becoming more successful will allow them to experience a sense of worth and to feel loved. They won’t be able to just be and to feel valuable, loved and to trust that their needs will be met, so they will need to do things to have this experience. If they were to develop a felt sense of worth, love and trust, there is a strong chance that their behaviour would change. They wouldn’t need to use their body to affirm themselves any longer, allowing them to have moments where they are able to just be and not to think about attaining a certain outcome. Conclusion So, if the world was made up of people who had a ‘good enough’ upbringing and were able to just be, what would it be like? For one thing, there is a strong chance that the feminine aspect would have at least the same level of importance as the masculine. There would be a greater focus on people’s wellbeing and the things that are associated with it such as having fun, relaxing and connection and less on achievement and success and perhaps a country’s GDP. With people having an inner sense of wholeness and peace, the earth would be inhabited by human beings, not human doings.

If someone has been paying a lot of attention to the mainstream media over the last two years, there is the chance that they will have a certain view of the Coronavirus and all the variants that have and are likely to appear as time goes by. As far as they are concerned, this virus and its variants can be seen as being extremely deadly.
As a result of this, it will be essential for them to have every vaccine and booster that is offered and to follow all of the rules, regardless of what they are. Most likely, they will have a number of people in their life who behave in the same way. Stepping Back Now, if they were to step back, if only for a few minutes, and to think about why they perceive the virus in this way, what could come to mind is what they have heard about from the mainstream media. What the newsreaders have said, along with experts and governmental figures, will then have had a massive impact on their outlook. Additionally, they may know at least one person who has died or is said to have died from it. But other than this, what they have been told from the people above can be what is primarily behind how they perceive reality. The Truth However, if they don’t engage in this process and look into why see the virus as they do, how they see the virus will just be seen as a reflection of what it is like. In other words, their experience of it won’t be influenced by what they have been told; it will simply be a reflection of how dangerous it is. Consequently, if they were to meet someone who doesn’t really pay attention to the mainstream media, it is not going to be a surprise if there is conflict. The former will have one outlook and the latter is likely to have a very different outlook. Two Experiences The former can spend a lot of time feeling anxious and fearful, and rarely even leave their home. They can believe that the other person simply doesn’t realise how dangerous the virus is, needs to ‘wake up’ and could describe them as a conspiracy theorist. On the other hand, the latter might find that, in general, their inner state hasn’t really changed and is happy to carry on as normal, or as normal as is possible and is doing what they can to naturally boost their immune system. In their eyes, they can believe that the other person has been conditioned to be overly fearful of the virus, due to what they have been told by the media and also needs to ‘wake up’. The Power of Fear If the latter had a different lifestyle and was also plugged into this source of information, there is the chance that they would have a different outlook. Yet, if someone was being fed fear, day after day, month after month, year after year, how else would they be? It has been said that perception is reality, so if someone has been told, constantly, how dangerous a virus is, this information is going to define how they experience life. It won’t matter if there is any evidence that goes against what they believe, or if it is possible for them to naturally boost their immune system, as they will have literally been programmed to see reality through a certain lens. The Big illusion However, as this source creates the impression that they are simply reporting on what is going on, nothing more, nothing less, and one can see themselves as just an observer of reality, they won’t be able to see how what they are told goes into their creative consciousness and ends up defining what they do and don’t experience. Ultimately, the media is not simply informing them, it is conditioning them to see reality in a certain way as it is not possible for them to passively observe reality. What this does is shed light on how powerful they, along with their fellow human beings, are. Thanks to the power that they and their fellow human beings have to create their own reality, it also means that each human being also has the ability to co-create a very different world. An Analogy With that aside, taking into account the part that the mainstream media is playing in what is going on, if the virus was an organisation that wanted to keep everyone in fear and to control them, the media would be its mouthpiece. This organisation would be dangerous, no doubt about it, but without this arm of the operation, it wouldn’t have the same level of control. But, it wouldn’t be right to say that what is going on is anything new as this source has been pumping out propaganda for years, with so many people being fearful of so many other things due to what this source has told them to fear. It is then very much a case of - business as usual. Final Thoughts Still, as easy as it is to see this source as the perpetrator and a large part of humanity as the victims, an outlook that is unlikely to lead to change, this would only be true on one level. What also needs to be looked into is why this source is able to manipulate a citizen; what’s inside them that makes them susceptible to this propaganda? Is this source simply tapping into a citizen’s repressed fears and unresolved trauma? Someone in this position is then already in a vulnerable position, and, with the right words, images and sounds, this source, along with the government, is able to gradually hook them in, promise to protect them and, finally, to lead them wherever they desire.

Oliver JR Cooper http://www.oliverjrcooper.co.uk
Before the contagion came onto the scene, it wouldn’t be right to say that, as a whole, there was harmony on earth. There were numerous things that a number of people were fighting over.
For example, there was the battle between some men and women and between those who belong to one religion and another. However, fairly recently, a new battle has arisen between some of those who are vaccinated and some of those who are not. Nothing New This is not to say that every other battle has come to an end, though; no, it just means that, at times, this one has overshadowed and is overshadowing just about all of the others. One way to look at all this would be to say that this is nothing new as human beings have always fought each other. Unlike many other animals, apart from rats, for instance, who can be very brutal to each other, they often find it hard to live in harmony with each other. So, while a large part of humanity is more ‘civilised’ than it was in the past, remnants of the past still remain. Modern-day Warfare In the past, weapons were largely used when it came to an army or tribe that tried to defeat another and this approach is still utilised. Nowadays, there is, of course, weaponry around that would have seemed like magic to those who were fighting in battles less than a hundred years ago, let alone hundreds of years ago. In ‘civilised’ societies, people still fight for their survival and resources but, this is something that largely takes place through the use of language and governmental laws. One group of people is then not going to use any guns or swords, yet they will try to defeat their ‘adversary’ in another way. Centre Stage When it comes to the battle between some of those who are vaccinated and some of those who are not, it is a battle that also involves the state. Those who are vaccinated and want everyone else to have this organisation behind them. When someone is in this position, they are likely to believe that this is the only way for them to be protected and to be safe and for everything to return to ‘normal’. Due to this, they are going to believe that they are doing the right thing and those who don’t want the vaccine are doing the wrong thing. A Natural Outcome But, if the vaccines that they have had, along with those that they are yet to have are there to protect them and keep them safe and all of the experts appear to be in favour of them, why would they be any other way? Furthermore, the mainstream media will validate their outlook, providing them with even more belief in their view. There can then be all of the people in their life who also have the same view and are probably plugged into the same news source. Therefore, there will be no reason for them to see things differently. Demonisation In their eyes, those who won’t have them can be seen as being selfish and completely stupid. To them, this vaccine will be no different to any other inasmuch as it was created to protect someone. They could describe someone like this as an ‘anti-vaxxer’, who is too caught up in a conspiracy theory to be able to think clearly and face reality. For not doing the ‘right’ thing and thinking about the ‘greater good’, they could believe that people like this should be punished and forced to have the vaccine. Extreme Conflict Naturally, if someone is not interested in having the vaccine and they are treated like this, it is going to lead to disharmony. To go even further, it will lead to a very segregated society. Instead of someone who is vaccinated being able to put this difference aside when it comes to someone who isn’t and realising that they have so many things in common, they will see them as a social leper. They will be less-than-human and, as a result of this, will need to be dealt with. One Dimensional Nonetheless, if someone isn’t interested in having these vaccines, they might be only too happy to have other vaccines, and thus, are not an ‘anti-vaxxer’. Consequently, they could believe that this is a term that was created to silence dissent. This then makes it appear as though the vaccine is purely ‘good’ and questioning it is purely ‘bad’, which can cause someone to unconsciously, if not consciously, fear being disapproved of and even ostracised for questioning the narrative. Ergo, a blend of the need to belong, trust in the experts and the fear that the mainstream media has programmed into them will play a big part in how they behave. The Other Side Being able to tolerate ambiguity is not easy and this is something that the government and mainstream media play on. This is why someone like this is an ‘anti-vaxxer’ as opposed to someone who has legitimate concerns, concerns that should be looked into. If this approach was taken, there would be less need to demonise those who are not willing to have these vaccines injected into their body. Someone like this can be waiting for both the medium and long term data before deciding if this is the right option for them to take. Plenty of questions Lastly, they could wonder why it matters if they are vaccinated or not if the vaccine actually works. They could also wonder why the system doesn’t encourage people to boost their immunity naturally. Stress is said to lower the immune system and if someone spends a lot of time consuming the mainstream media, a source that primarily focuses on doom and gloom, this is not going to do them any good. One will then be ‘boosting’ their immunity by having the vaccines and undermining it by being plugged into a source of information that is designed to keep them in a state of fear, not inform them and perhaps they are eating food that doesn’t serve them. Final Thoughts Is there a chance that the system is using the virus to both divide and distract people from other things? Is what is going on simply a means to an end, with what is going on laying the foundations for something else entirely? Or, is this merely something that would be on the mind of a conspiracy theorist. With that aside, there is also what is going on for so many of the citizenry and what it is within them that makes it possible for the government to divide them. Is the division that exists externally a reflection of the division that exists internally? By unconsciously creating division externally and having an enemy, is someone able to avoid the disharmony that exists inside them?

Oliver JR Cooper http://www.oliverjrcooper.co.uk Critical Thinking: Are Some People Having The Vaccines For Protection And Slowly Killing Themselves?1/12/2021
Most likely, someone will live in a country where a vaccine is seen as the best way for them to protect themselves from the virus. Or to be more accurate, it is seen as the only way for them to do this.
Also, it wouldn’t be right to say that they will just need one vaccine, as there will be a number of them to have, along with booster shots. So, as soon as they think that they are fully protected, it is unlikely to be long until a new one is introduced. A Way of Life As a result of this, it wouldn’t be illogical to suggest that they could end up needing to have these vaccines for the rest of their life. Still, as this will be seen as what will allow them to stay alive, it probably won’t be seen as a problem. There is the chance that most of the people in their life will be happy to go along with this too. Along with this, they may be happy to go into isolation whenever there is a new variant. One Focus If, according to the experts who they see on TV and hear from on the radio, for instance, this is the only way for them to look after their health, they won’t need to do anything else. So, apart from wearing a mask at certain times and being in isolation at others, for instance, this will be it. Now, one way of looking at this would be to say that this shows how effective the vaccine is. Another way of looking at it would be to say that this is a very lopsided approach and overlooks so many other factors that need to be taken into consideration. The Saviour It could be said that illustrates that the vaccine has been elevated to such a high position, with it being portrayed as a panacea. To elevate it to this position can be seen as a sign of childlike thinking and a consequence of what takes place when someone is in a fearful state and is, thereby, unable to think clearly. What is clear is that due to what is going on, someone needs to take care of their immune system. Each vaccine has been designed to boost it and, at the same time, there are still other ways for them to do this. A Strange Scenario But, if one has been conditioned to see a vaccine as their saviour and their main source of information, the mainstream media, doesn’t mention that they need to do other things, let alone mention other solutions, this probably won’t occur to them. Consequently, they can be protecting their immune system by doing the ‘right’ thing and having each vaccine and also be doing things that are undermining their immune system. For example, they could spend a lot of time consuming the mainstream media, live a highly stressful life, experience a lot of ‘negative’ feelings and have a diet that is loaded with sugar. Each of these things is likely to suppress their immune system and, thus, lessen their ability to protect themselves. But this won’t be something that even crosses their mind. An Analogy This is then similar to someone who believes that because they exercise, they can eat and drink whatever they want. In their eyes, exercising will allow them to burn off any excess calories that they consume and so it won’t matter. The other ways that eating and drinking will undermine their body will be totally overlooked. Ultimately, exercise will be seen as something that allows them to cleanse their body of anything that is no good. The Outcome One can then be ‘boosting’ their immune system by having a vaccine and undermining their immune system thanks to an unhealthy lifestyle. And, at the same time, they can be overly concerned with getting the virus, often wear a mask and do what they can to avoid social settings. Furthermore, they can accuse those who are not vaccinated and/or don't wear a mask as being a threat to their health. This could be seen as an example of projection as they are accusing others of that which they are doing unconsciously. Another Level It might go even deeper than this, though, as the person who is having all the vaccines and is concerned about their life coming to an end, could unconsciously be killing themselves. What this comes down to is that they, along with every other human being, are a multi-faceted being. Beyond the part of them gives them the need to protect themselves and talk about how important this is, can be a big part of them that no longer wants to be here. This part of them, a part that they are not consciously aware of, will cause them to engage in things that will actually undermine them. A Closer Look For example, they could generally eat food that is not good for them, overwork, have a number of abusive relationships and, therefore, deprive themselves of the nutrients that they need to survive, let alone thrive. This can be a way for them to punish themselves for what they believe that they deserve to suffer for. Whatever this is, it will be outside of their conscious awareness and the end goal of this punishment will be to end their time on this planet – whilst causing themselves a lot of pain until that happens. What is going on within them, then, won’t be so strong that they will commit suicide, but it will be strong enough for them to slowly kill themselves. Back In Time What could be behind their need to die could be the experiences that they had during their early years and the meaning that they made or even before this, whilst they were in their mother’s womb. Whatever is behind this, it won’t be something that they are currently able to acknowledge. Yet, even though it won’t be something that they are consciously aware of, it will still be having a massive impact on their life. For them to no longer punish themselves, they will need to step back and reflect, and to receive the right support. Final Thoughts It has been said that human beings are walking contradictions and this example certainly proves this. Taking this into account, someone can easily focus on the threat that is ‘out there’ and totally overlook the threats that are inside them. If they are unconsciously undermining themselves, no matter how many vaccines they have, they are not going to be as strong as they would be otherwise. What this emphasises is how important it is for someone to have a good connection with their inner world and engage in self-reflection, as opposed to being totally attached to their mind and caught up in what is going on externally.

Oliver JR Cooper http://www.oliverjrcooper.co.uk Critical Thinking: Can Someone Be Overly Fearful Of The Coronavirus If They Were Abused As A Child?30/11/2021
Although there are some people who have done their best to carry on as normal since the arrival of the contagion, there are others who have been unable to do so. For someone in the second position, it might not matter if the restrictions have been eased where they live.
They may have continued to spend a lot of time in isolation and done their best to avoid getting too close to others. When it comes to their family and friends, however, this might not be an issue. A Challenging Time If this is the case, their life is going to be radically different to how it was before. There will be all the things that they are able to do now that things have changed but they won’t be interested in spreading their wings, so to speak. Even if they were to think about leaving their home, they could experience a fair amount of fear and anxiety. So when they do leave their home, they are going to be filled with a lot of tension. A Massive Risk Behind this can be the belief that they are putting their life at risk by going out into the world. If they have to work in an environment where there are a lot of people, it could be difficult for them to keep it together. As soon as they get to work, they could be looking forward to when the time comes for them to leave and go back home. But, even when they are at home, it doesn’t mean that they will find it easy to experience inner peace. Two Parts This can partly be put down to the fact that there will be a virus out there that they could catch at any moment and partly down to the fact that they are likely to spend a lot of time viewing the mainstream media. With the former on their mind and the latter filling their mind, it is to be expected that they would typically be unsettled. There is the chance that they will have a strong need to know what is going on, so even if they are not watching the news, they could regularly receive updates direct to their Smartphone. This will allow them to feel as though they know what is going on, which can allow them to feel more at ease, at times. Close To the Edge After they have had a vaccine or a booster, they could feel more settled but, this could soon change after they have been updated by the media. After being told that the numbers are going up or that there is a new variant, for instance, they could soon be on unstable ground. It is then not going to be a surprise if they find it hard to concentrate and are often unable to fall asleep at night. At any moment, it could seem as if their life is going to come to an end. The proof There can be people in their life who say that they are overreacting and they could be encouraged to spend less time consuming the mainstream media. This could fall on deaf ears, though, with one dismissing what they say. If one was to think about the people who they have lost to the virus, their mind might go blank. Or, they may think of someone, perhaps who already had at least one health problem, who is said to have died from it. A Closer Look Now, one way of looking at this would be to say that as there is a killer virus out there, it is perfectly normal for them to be this way. They are simply behaving how any relational person would behave, given what is going on. Another way of looking at this would be to say that there is something taking place within them, at a deeper level that is playing a part in their experience. Nonetheless, as this relates to inner material that is outside of their conscious awareness, they are unable to realise what is going on. Old Wounds This inner material can be the result of what they experience during their formative years, with this being stage of their life when they were physically harmed and perhaps neglected by their caregiver/s. Thanks to this, they would have often felt as though they were going to die. But, as they wouldn’t have been able to stop what was going on or to leave this dysfunctional environment, they had to disconnect from what was going on. This would have allowed them to lose touch with how they felt but it wouldn’t have actually removed the feelings or the arousal that they experienced. Recycling The Past Therefore, although many, many years will have passed since this stage of their life, they will still be carrying repressed feelings and arousal. But, while they will have no conscious awareness of what is taking place at a deeper level - in another part of their being - what is held here will have an impact on their life. It will play a part in how they perceive reality, how they behave, how they feel and what they fear. Taking this into account, there is the virus and what is actually going on and, then, there is what is going on for them and how this causes them to experience reality. Final Thoughts Naturally, if, deep down, they feel as though they are going to die, as a result of unresolved trauma, this is going to make it hard for them to be present. How they perceive the virus, as rational as it may appear to be, will be unconsciously filtered through a stage of their life when they were totally powerless and defenceless and their death appeared to be imminent. If they started to resolve this trauma, they would gradually end up in a very different place and this would most likely cause them to be more at ease. By no longer projecting their past onto the present and being able to think more clearly, they would spend less time in fear and more time focusing on what they can actually do to protect themselves. Instead of being plugged into the media and allowing their stress levels to rise, something that will actually lower their immune system, they will look into what they can do to enhance it. This will show that they are taking their power back and are being responsible for their health, as opposed to giving it away to something ‘out here’ and relying on others to keep them alive. Of course, when they were in a traumatised state and felt powerless, they wouldn’t have believed that they had control over their health. They would have been a sitting duck and their health would have been in someone else’s hands.

Oliver JR Cooper http://www.oliverjrcooper.co.uk Critical Thinking: Is The Coronavirus Allowing Some People To Mask Their Unresolved Trauma?29/11/2021
For some people, what is going on has been all-consuming, with it being hard for them to function. For others, what is going on hasn’t been something that has totally consumed their mind, with it being possible for them to carry on living their life.
There are then, of course, those who are in the middle, which means that they will have had moments when they are on both sides of the spectrum. What each of these experiences, as well as others, illustrates is that not everyone is or has been having the same experience. A Big Impact Now, if someone has rarely left their home during this time and has no plans to change, they are unlikely to have much of a life. So much of what they enjoyed doing before will be out of their reach and they will, in many ways, just be going through the emotions. As much as part of them will want their life to go back to normal, or as normal as it can be, another part of them won’t want this to take place. The part of them that doesn’t want this to take place will be the part that has the most control. Perfectly Rational As a result of this, they will continue to isolate themselves. Still, they could believe that it is perfectly normal for them to behave in this way, considering that there is a killer virus going around. This will be seen as the best way for them to continue to exist and for their life to not come to an end. There is also the chance that they will have a least one friend or family member who has the same outlook. In The Same Boat They are then going to validate this person’s view and this person will validate their view; with both of them being strengthened in the process. When they speak to each other, they could criticise those who don’t have a similar approach. These people could be seen as being careless and as putting other people at risk. However, even if they don’t know anyone who has the same outlook as them, it doesn’t mean that they will be short of validation. The Media Irrespective of whether they read, watch or listen to the news, they are likely to hear a lot of things that validate their view. In general, this source will make out that the virus is incredibly dangerous and, even if things settle down, it might not long until there is a new variant that is said to be even more dangerous than the previous one. So, to use an analogy, if the waters do settle, it won’t be long until there are big waves once more. And, each time there is a new variant, their stress levels could go up a notch. Their Experience Throughout this time, they are likely to have experienced a fair amount of fear and anxiety, making it hard for them to relax and even sleep at night. They may have had a few panic attacks and felt as though they were going to die too. What may have allowed them to feel more settled, at least momentarily, are the vaccinations that they have received. When a new vaccine or a booster is available, they could be filled with hope and, once they have had it, they could feel safe and secure, if only for a short while. The Evidence If they were to think about someone they know who has passed on from the virus, they might not be able to think of anyone. Then again, the person who does come to mind may have already had health problems and thus, it probably wouldn’t be accurate to say that they died of the virus. They may also know a few people who caught it and were in a bad way for about a week or two. Nonetheless, their point of reference could be the mainstream media, with them overlooking just about anything that doesn’t validate this sources version of what is going on. Stepping Back If someone who isn’t scared to leave their house or seldom leaves it and isn’t typically all at sea emotionally, was to hear about someone like this, they could wonder what is going on. They themselves can be seen as being careless and not understanding how serious this all is, yet they can believe that someone like this is overreacting and is out of touch with reality. Assuming that this is the case, why would someone be unable to rationally respond to what is going on, why would they behave in a totally irrational manner? What this can show is that they are carrying trauma. The Past Is present At a deeper level, so beyond their conscious mind, they can be carrying a lot of emotional pain and arousal that goes back to what they experienced during their early years, their birth and/or their time in their mother’s womb. Nonetheless, as their mind/intellect is oblivious to this pain, thanks to repression, they are not aware of the baggage that they are carrying. But, even though this part of them has no awareness of this pain, it is still influencing their perception and behaviour. Without realising it, they are projecting what has already happened into their present and future. A Mismatch What they believe will happen is a reflection of what has already happened. For example, they can fear that they will die, and, most likely, this is how they felt when they were very small, on more than one occasion, and had to disconnect (repress) from this experience in order to survive. But, as they are not aware of what is going on, they will believe that how they feel and the thoughts that they have are a reflection of what is going on and is, therefore, a perfectly rational response. Ultimately, their thoughts and feelings reflect a stage of their life that is now over. Final Thoughts Naturally, if someone is carrying a lot of trauma, it is going to be more or less impossible for them to be present. No matter what is going on externally, what is going on internally, at a deeper level, will add so much more to their experience. Until they are able to step back and go to the root of their pain, their extroverted mind will always look for evidence ‘out there’ to rationalise what is taking place in their conscious mind. Taking this into account, the media and other sources can then build up what is going on and create the ultimate show, but if it wasn’t for the people who are already in a bad way mentally and emotionally, who are neurotic, and support it, it would be very different.

Oliver JR Cooper http://www.oliverjrcooper.co.uk Critical Thinking: Is It Time For Humanity To Realise That They Have An Unconscious Mind?26/11/2021
If the average person was asked to explain what it means to be human, they could say that it involves having a physical body and an intellect or something similar. Therefore, who they are will be a combination of what is going on in their head and what keeps this part of them in place.
By being this way, they are likely to see themselves as merely an observer of what is going on around them. What is going on inside their head is not going to have an effect on what is taking place in the physical world, yet what is going on ‘out there’ will almost certainly be seen as something that influences them. A Small Impact This doesn’t mean that they will believe that they don’t have an impact on the world but this can be seen as something that is purely the result of how they behave and what they say. They may even believe that while they can’t control what happens to them, they can control how they respond to what happens. If so, this will be another way that they are able to have an effect on their life. Taking this into account, compared with those who are rich or famous, for instance, they won’t have a great deal of control over their life. A Natural Conclusion If their life generally goes how they want it to go, they could see themselves as being ‘lucky’. Still, when it doesn’t go how they want it to go or something bad happens, they could say that they are ‘unlucky’. Or, they could say that they are on the receiving end of ‘bad karma’. Fortunately, then, this won’t be what they are used to and it is unlikely to be long until their life goes back to how it usually is. The Other Side However, if their life generally doesn’t go how they want it to go, they could see themselves as being ‘unlucky’ or as experiencing ‘bad karma’. When something good does happen, they are likely to be very surprised and they might wonder how long it will last. Due to being so surprised and perhaps fearing that it won’t last, they might not be able to enjoy what is taking place. Sadly, they will be used to experiencing misery and hardship and experiencing the opposite will be abnormal. Plenty of Company Now, regardless of whether they can relate to the former or the latter, they are likely to find that there are plenty of people who are in the same boat. Thanks to this, they could believe that just about everyone experiences life as they do. If they are generally ‘lucky’, it could be as though someone or something ‘out there’ likes them and if they are generally ‘unlucky’, it could be as though someone or something ‘out there’ is punishing them. Nonetheless, what if there is more to them than they believe and how ‘lucky’ or ‘unlucky’ they are depends on what is going on for them? Two Parts This would mean that there is more to them than what is taking place in their mind and they are not merely an observer of reality. What this comes down to is that along with their conscious mind, they also have an unconscious mind. There may have been at least one moment in their life when they have heard of this before but what is clear is that hearing about something is one thing; truly understanding the implications of it is very different. It’s the difference between understanding a concept and actually experiencing something. A Small Part When it comes to their conscious mind, this is just a small part of who they are or their own consciousness. This part of them is just the tip of the iceberg, with most of who they are being hidden. Then again, it could be said that their body is their unconscious mind and so this part of them is not actually hidden – only what is held in this part of them is. But, if their point of awareness is mainly in their head and they don’t have a good connection with their body, this part of them can still be very much out of their reach. A Pool of Information This part of them will be made up of, along with other things, the feelings and thoughts their conscious mind has repressed. Their mind will have forgotten about these elements but their body will know all about them. Yet, even though their mind has forgotten about them, what is held below their level of awareness will have an impact on their physical, mental and emotional health and it will influence what they do and don’t experience. In other words, what is taking place at this level will play a big part in what they are resonating. A Mirage Below the physical nature of both them and their reality, will be energy that is vibrating at a certain frequency. This is why it will seem as if what is taking place internally is separate from what is taking place externally, hence why what is going on within them won’t seem to impact what is going on ‘out there’ and they will just be observing reality, yet this is just an illusion. In reality, they are not truly separate from anyone or anything, which is why what is going on within them will influence what is going on around them. The feelings that they are aware of, in addition to the feelings that they are not aware of, will primarily define what they are resonating and, therefore, what they can and can’t experience. Final Thoughts What this illustrates is how powerful they, and their fellow human beings, are. However, if someone has been heavily ‘dumbed down’ and sees themselves as purely an observer of their reality and life is then seen as something that happens to them, what has just been said can seem like a load of nonsense. If someone, who is in this position, was to be open their mind and started to clean out the junk that is in their unconscious mind/body, started using their thoughts and imagination to experience ‘positive’ feelings and took inspired action, they would probably gradually come to see how powerful they are. Their materialistic view of reality is also likely to fall away.

In many society's around the world that are seen as being 'civilised', there are things that take place that make some people question this view. This includes how animals are often treated, how people in power often behave and how people often treat each other.
In addition to this, the kind of things that are largely seen as being a normal part of society, are the things that take palace every now and then. This includes how some people are treated when there is a demonstration and where there is a murder. Two Extremes While this is going on, there are all the technological advancements that are being made. It could be said that these are things that are primarily created to make things easier for humanity and to take them forward. In one area, the focus will be on creating an even better Smartphone, in another, it will be on how to colonise another planet. Therefore, although there is a lot of behaviour that can be seen as being 'uncivilised', there is a lot of behaviour that can be seen as being 'civilised'. One Outlook Now, it would be easy to say that most people in a society are civilised and that it is just the few that are not. If it wasn't for the few that cause most of the problems, then, it would be very different. This would mean that there are the people who have left their more primitive side behind and those that haven't. By outgrowing this side of their nature, these people are able to act in a civilised manner. Another Angle It may appear to be this black and white, with there being those who are on one side of the spectrum and those who are on the other, but this can be seen as a very surface level assessment. For example, how common is it for a leader who comes across as evolved to end up being found guilty of behaviour that is anything but evolved? It is not even necessary to look towards someone like this, though, as there are numerous examples at a local level where someone has engaged in behaviour that goes competently against the image that they had presented to the world. A Closer Look For example, someone could be a leading light in the community and do all kinds of things to help others and yet, when they are at home, they could brutalise their children and their partner. How they behave in one area of their life will then be radically different to how they come across in another. But, without even going this far, someone can create the impression of being an evolved human being in just about every area of their life and still engage in behaviours that have more in common with how a child would behave. So, they could find it hard it control their impulses and be hooked on a number of things that are greatly undermining them. Two Levels What this illustrates is that human beings are multifaceted and how they come across is not always an accurate reflection of what is truly going on for them. However, not only are they good at deceiving others, they are also very good at deceiving themselves. If they were only made up of an instinctual and emotional self, this probably wouldn't take palace. Yet, as they also have an intellectual or mental self, this allows them to both consciously and unconsciously not only cover up what is truly going on for them; it also allows them to lose touch with it altogether. One Big Facade Taking this into account, thanks to the ability that someone will have to lose touch with what is truly going on for them, it means that they can deceive themselves and then others into believing that they are more evolved than they are. One can then behave in a certain way and have a well-developed intellect but, at an emotional level, they can be extremely underdeveloped. On one level, they will be evolved and play a part in creating a civilised society but at another level, they will be unevolved and the uncivilised parts of society will be a reflection of the uncivilised parts of their own being. Nonetheless, due to what they have repressed and as their extroverted intellect will see what is going on 'out there' as being separate from them, there will be no reason for them to see the connection. The Modus Operandi There will be the mental and emotional content someone has repressed during their childhood and adulthood. Once something has been pushed out of their conscious awareness, they will have forgotten that they have forgotten about it. When it comes to what they repressed during their childhood, this can largely be the result of not having had parents who were present. As for why this would take place during their adulthood, it can be due to them not having ever developed the ability to soothe themselves and living in a society that encourages this. Two Ways One can then automatically consume or do things that will push their true feelings out of their awareness or they can reach out for support and the same thing can take place. By working with a cognitive therapist, what is taking place in their mind can be changed, whilst pushing their true feelings even further down into their body. Irrespective of whether they avoid how they feel or another person helps them to do it, the outcome will be the same; they will stay in an emotionally underdeveloped state. Thus, they will, like many of their fellow human beings, be out of balance. Final Thoughts The trouble is that if a society is mind-centred, the mind will be seen as the only part of one's being that needs to be developed in order for society to evolve. What is taking place at an emotional level won't be acknowledged, let alone dismissed. Still, what is taking place at this level for the citizenry will have a big effect on what does and what doesn't take place. What this emphasises is that it is not enough for only the intellectual part of one's being to be developed if a civilised society and world are what is desired.

It is not uncommon for the average person, and even for those who are working in the area of 'mental health', to believe that they, along with their fellow human beings, only have one mind. They are then going to have a conscious mind and a physical body and that will be all they are.
As a result of this, it won't occur to them that they have both a conscious and an unconscious mind. By being this way, it is naturally going to have an effect on how they experience life. One Step Further Moreover, when a society is made up of a number of people who have this outlook, it is also going to have a big impact on what that society looks like. What is taking place at an individual level will shape what is going on at the collective level and vice versa. Therefore, both the individuals and the society that has been created by them will play a part in sustaining this experience. Still, the people who are on the outside, so to speak, who see life differently, can end up slowly changing this reality. A Closer Look So, when someone is not aware of the fact that they have an unconscious mind, they are not going to realise that the material that they have disconnected from in their conscious mind hasn't disappeared. It could be as though they just felt one way in one moment and in another, they felt just felt another way. If they have ever had any kind of behavioural therapy, they could believe that they were able to change how they felt simply by changing their thoughts. Their thoughts will are then going to be seen as defining how they feel, so their previous feelings will have just vanished. Two Levels This will be an example of how both the individual and the society that they live in will play a part in keeping this view alive; the view that they only have one mind. The point of focus will be the intellect, causing the body to be totally overlooked. In this mind-centred society, the body will largely be seen as just an object that plays up for no apparent reason. Or, if there is a reason why it would 'malfunction', it can be put down to genetics or due to what is going on externally. An Analogy What will be taking place when someone loses touch with their inner material will be very similar to what happens when things are taken away from a room and put into a loft. The difference is that when the latter takes place, someone will know that these items haven't really gone anywhere. They will be out of sight and often out of mind, but they won't end up believing that they have left their house. However, when someone has removed something from their conscious mind they will believe that it has left them or they will have forgotten that they have forgotten about it. A Million Miles Away Once an emotional experience has been pushed out of their conscious mind, it will end up being stored deep in their body. Their body is then likely to constrict and different defences will be put in place to stop this pain from re-entering their conscious mind. Along with this, they are likely to unconsciously behave in ways that will help to make sure that this pain doesn't come to the surface. This is going to mean that a lot of their energy, without them even being aware of it, will be used to keep their true feelings at bay. The Outcome But, although this emotional material will be out of their conscious mind and be completely forgotten about, it won't just be lying dormant. Over time, it is likely to have a negative impact on their physical health. Nonetheless, it could take a number of decades before a serious illness will materialise. Along with this, one could end up struggling with mental and emotional problems, phobias and 'irrational' fears, among other things. The Solution In each of these cases, as well as others, there is going to be an emotional component (with this component most likely outside of their awareness) to what is taking place that needs to be acknowledged. But, by living in a society that largely ignores this aspect and the body and primarily focuses on the mind and sees the body as just as an object, this is unlikely to occur. Consequently, if they have something wrong with their body, they can just end up taking something that will merely cover up the symptoms and won't actually resolve the underlying issue. If, on the other hand, they have a mental and emotional problem, it can be put down to a 'chemical imbalance' or merely 'faulty thinking'. More of the Same If this is what takes place, another form of repression will be taking place. Ultimately, their body will be calling out to them, trying to let them know that something inside them needs to be acknowledged. Instead, the effect will be covered up and the actual cause will continue to undermine them. One will be seen as nothing more than an observer of their experience as opposed to a co-creator of it (an illusion that their extroverted intellect and eyes will create), with this being another viewpoint that their society is likely to be built on. Final Thoughts What is clear is that if it was widely accepted that repression is part of the human experience and it is a key part of what has allowed humanity to survive for so long, with it being something that takes place from a very young age, resolving repressed material would be seen as a key part of not only having healthy individuals but a healthy society. All the money that is spent annually on dealing with the effects of it would be able to be used differently too. These are just a few of the things that would arise if society was to become repression-informed. If someone was to think about what it would look like, there is no doubt that plenty of other answers would come to mind.

In many societies around the world, especially in the west, the focus is generally on what is taking place externally. Consequently, what is going on "out there" is the focus and what is going on internally is largely overlooked.
When it comes to making changes at both an individual and collective level, then, taking action is seen as the only option. Without this, it will be as though things won't just stay as they are; they will end up getting even worse. One Step Back However, to say that what is going on internally is largely overlooked wouldn't be completely accurate. It would probably be more accurate to say that what is going on internally is rarely even acknowledged. In a lot of cases, it is as though each and every person has no inner world; there is only an external reality that is shared by everyone. Yet, even though it can appear as though everyone human being shares the same external reality, this is also an illusion. A Subjective Experience Of course, there are things that everyone can agree with, such as the colour of the sky and objects being 'solid'. But, along with all the things that everyone can relate to is the fact that everyone is having their own unique experience on this planet. For example, two people can walk along the same path and while so many things will be the same, so many things will be different. What will play a part in what they experience will be what they believe, how they feel and what is currently on their mind. An External Focus However, if someone is focused on what is going on externally and is, therefore, plugged into society, they are likely to believe that not only do they live on the same planet as everyone else but that their reality is reality. They will simply be observing what is going on "out there"; nothing more, nothing less. By having this outlook, it won't occur to them that what is taking place inside them is defining what they see and experience. In order for them to realise this, it will be necessary for them to bring their awareness into themselves. The Connection Disconnecting from what is going on externally and connecting to what is taking place internally will allow them to see how their inner world is affecting their outer world. Moreover, by doing this, they will be able to gradually realise that the impression that their intellect creates, along with their eyes, that they are merely an observer of reality, is a facade. Over time, by being with their thoughts and feelings, they will gradually be able to see how these inner elements are co-creating their very reality. It might be hard for them to accept that this is possible, yet this is only because their mind deceives them into believing that they are separate from everyone and everything. Endless Feedback It would then have seemed as though what was taking place inside their own mind and body had no effect whosoever on their external reality, yet their reality will have constantly been mirroring back their inner world. Their life will be a canvas and they will paint this canvas with their own consciousness. Another part of this is that it won't just be what is taking place in their conscious mind that is playing a part in this process; it will also be what is taking place in their unconscious mind. This is why, in addition to them not having realised that their thoughts and feelings were creative, what takes place externally would have appeared to have absolutely no connection to them. Resistance Nonetheless, although this is something that someone would gradually be able to understand if they were to bring their attention inside themselves, it is unlikely to be something that will just take place. For one thing, if they are focused on the external world, being this way will feel comfortable. Furthermore, if they were to bring their attention inward, they would probably soon come into contact with some inner material that would make them feel unconformable. Thus, being caught up in what is going on externally will not only be what is normal, it will also allow them to avoid pain and their own "darkness". A Better Option So, even if they had the understanding in place that their outer world is reflecting back their inner world, they would still need to be willing to face and work through their own pain. Naturally, trying to change what is going on externally will be far more appealing. This will allow them to avoid their own inner wounds and they will be able to receive a fair amount of approval from others. Going within and cleaning their own consciousness will be painful and they are unlikely to receive any awards either. No Pressure Additionally, by living in a society that is highly extroverted, and they are likely to as most are, they are likely to be told from morning until the night that changing what is going on "out there" is the only way to change or save the planet. It is highly unlikely that they will be encouraged by anyone in the mainstream to heal their inner wounds. The effect that mental and emotional energy has on the physical reality is unlikely to be acknowledged, let alone dismissed. The focus will be on what can be perceived by the five senses and most of the effort will be directed into changing this reality. Final Thoughts If humanity as a whole is carrying a lot of internal baggage and this baggage defines what takes place externally, purely focusing on external problems is clearly not the answer. It will be like one step forward, two steps back. Considering this, if someone resonates with the view that their inner world is co-creating their outer world and wants to play their part whilst they are on this planet, it will be essential for them to bring their attention inward and to heal their own inner wounds. This is likely to be a time when they will be working through pain that relates to what they have experienced as an adult, a child and what was passed down from their ancestors.
